Hannover, February 2000 (CeBIT) - Earlier this month, Exody E-Business Intelligence GmbH was founded as a spin-off of HLP Information Management, Eschborn. The new company introduces ShopSuxess at the CeBIT, one of the first standardized solutions worldwide to analyze visitor activities and performance in online shops. Exody's WebSuxess already leads the European market for web site traffic analysis. Analyzing performance and ensuring sustained success presents a mission-critical challenge to the expanding e-commerce market. Exody addresses this issue in its partnerships with leading shop system providers and major Internet Service Providers. Branch offices in London, Stockholm and in the U.S. later this year will underscore Exody's distinct standing.

Exody E-Business Intelligence GmbH is the spin-off of the business division HLP Products of HLP Information Management GmbH (HLP). After the enormous success of WebSuxess, HLP's board of directors decided to spin off HLP Products to stay the course. "The number of companies to use the Internet as a marketing instrument and as a sales channel increases with incredible speed," Thorsten Heid says. Heid is one of the founders of HLP and now Managing Director of Exody. He forecasts the need for companies to measure the performance of their Internet activities to grow accordingly. "Measuring the performance of online business is the number one topic in e-commerce," Heid is convinced. Thus Heid will position Exody's products in both, the B2B and the B2C arena. Internet analysts of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter confirm his view, estimating that the e-commerce share of corporate revenue in the U.S. will reach US$ 4 trillion by 2004. Of those, 90% are expected for B2B commerce. German commerce also turns to the Internet. The Deutsche Bank reports to national corporate revenue to have hit DM 3 billion in 1999.

Exody's product line comprises the solutions WebSuxess and ShopSuxess. Both are based on an encompassing software platform for the performance analysis of web sites and online shops. WebSuxess and ShopSuxess easily install as plug-and-play solutions on any PC workstation, independent of web servers. ShopSuxess is the first application to professionally analyze visitor and shopping behavior of customers in online shops. Meaningful charts present all relevant information clearly to relate products, shopping carts, marketing campaigns to customer behavior. So-called conversion rates (view-to-cart and cart-to-checkout) track products on their way to the order and deliver sound information about how to turn browsing visitors into profitable customers. Later this year, Exody will expand its ShopSuxess product portfolio to enter new partnerships in the Application Service Provider arena.

ShopSuxess is based on the proven WebSuxess technology, which offers suggestions about how to optimize an Internet presence. WebSuxess determines web site visitor behavior and includes clickstream and streaming media analysis to provide qualitative and quantitative data to improve structure and content of a web site. Since WebSuxess' market introduction in 1997, more than 100,000 licenses have been sold.
